rs and how these Changes will Impact Employers presented by – Mark Cole
 man\, OTR/L\; Occupational Therapist\; Owner – Workability PLC\n\nThis p
resentation will bring attendees up to speed on some recent findings in th
e field of neuroscience and how these findings have the potential to signi
ficantly change the way we treat and manage work place injuries.\n\nWe are
beginning to see that we have a far greater ability to control (turn on a
nd off) our experience of pain than we ever thought. These new findings ha
ve the potential to make a significant impact on those workers who experie
nce chronic/ongoing pain i.e. chronic back pain. This is the group that
struggle at work and struggle to get back to work after an injury. This is
also the group that health care has historically achieved poor results wi
th\, and the group that generates the greatest cost.\n\nThe presentation w
ill provide attendees with some simple steps on how they can start to inte
grate this new understanding into their company health and safety program.
