Most Common OSHA Violations in Construction & General Industry (Low Hanging Fruit Citations and How to Prevent Them)
Session Description: Being on top of a list can often be a good thing, unless it’s a list of top safety violations in general industry or construction. It’s important to know what to do when an officer from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) shows up unannounced, but it also helps to know what violations they typically find. We will discuss the most common “low hanging fruit” that OSHA could cite you for and that are found in most workplaces/worksites.
About Our Speaker: Robert Dabrowski is a Project WorkSAFE Safety & Health Consultant with over 20 years of experience in the trades and construction industry. Rob started his career as a Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician while working toward a degree in OSHA Management/Fire Protection Engineering (FPE). Rob has worked as an FPE on projects throughout the world and spent several years at nuclear power plants, the Pentagon, and Congressional buildings for the Architect of the Capitol (AOC). Most recently worked for the Vermont State Fire Marshal’s office, VT’s Agency of Transportation and now the Dept. of Labor. Rob is also the Chairperson of the ASSP Green Mountain Section.
