PRO-ACTIVE APPROACH TO DISCIPLINE & DISCHARGE
REASONABLE SUSPICION TRAINING
What You as an Employer Need to Know
Vermont Truck & Bus Association and Associated General Contractors of Vermont in cooperation with Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles and Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC will be presenting this informational seminar focusing on avoiding the pitfalls of employee discipline and discharge in Vermont when it comes to substance abuse in the workplace.
Drug and alcohol use by drivers is a daily threat to your company. In 2016, 52 commercial vehicle drivers were arrested in Vermont for operating under the influence or possession of alcohol or drugs. In today’s environment, if you hire anybody, knowing what to look for in terms of a substance abuser is critical for the safety of your company and employees.
Employees are your greatest asset. Having clear goals and expectations is essential in managing employee job performance, but what happens when things don’t go as planned and you suspect an employee is under the influence of a drug? This seminar will review how to manage poor job performance and support your employees while at the same time protecting your organization. Don’t think drug addiction doesn’t affect your company! Be prepared!
