Presents a Workshop on Marijuana and Opioids in the Workplace

Speakers will include representatives of the VT Attorney General’s office, VOSHA, an employment law office, Invest EAP, an emergency response consultant, a worker’s compensation firm and the VT State Police
Who should attend? Safety managers, HR personnel, supervisors and managers will be responsible for administering policy regarding possible drug use in the workplace
Topics will include:
- How to manage the workplace under the new marijuana law in VT
- What are the rights and responsibilities of the employer, of the employee?
- Does this change the way we do business?
- What rights does a medical marijuana card holder have?
- How do I know if I have a problem in my workplace?
- How might wide spread opioid use affect my workplace and what can I do?
- Do we need to keep Narcan on hand and at what risk?
- What services are available to offer employees?
